This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar local storage used on this website, why they are used, and how you can control them. Because this is a brochure site with no accounts or forms, the number of cookies we use is deliberately very small.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device; “local storage” is a similar browser mechanism (technically not a cookie, but disclosed here for transparency). Both let the site remember your choices and, where you allow it, understand how the site is used.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary: needed to run the site and exempt from consent — remembering your language and recording your cookie choice.
Functional: remembers preferences such as your light/dark theme (provided via the browser’s local storage).
Analytics/performance: privacy-friendly, aggregated usage measurement, loaded only with your consent.
Advertising/targeting cookies are NOT used: we do not track you across sites or build advertising profiles.
3. Consent and the Telecommunications Act
Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), strictly necessary items (including the consent record and language preference) do not require prior consent, while analytics and other non-essential storage require your prior, informed consent. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, and continued browsing alone is not consent.
4. Managing or withdrawing your consent
On your first visit, the cookie banner offers “Accept all” and “Essential only” at the same level and with equal prominence — refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button below, and you can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary items may affect how the site works.
5. Analytics provider
Analytics loads only after you select “Accept all”. We prefer privacy-friendly analytics that is cookieless by default (e.g. Plausible); when configured that way it sets no cookies. No third-party advertising or social-media cookies are used.
